Today’s post features the Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus). Walking among the water pools at Green Cay Wetlands, I found several of these birds busy foraging among the shallows:
The last image shows the wonderful glossy irridescent bronze-green coloration of this bird, giving it it’s name. In the sun, it looks like a “rainbow bird”.
