White Beauty

While hiking around the Wichita Mountains recently, I found a nice clump of these white beauties … Prairie Larkspur (Delphinium virescens). Here are a few of my favorite images from the meadow:

  • Canon 1D Mark 3 body
  • Canon EF180mm, f/3.5 macro lens
  • Gitzo 1258-LVL carbon-fiber tripod, with Kirk Ent. HD ballhead
  • ISO 500 (top photo) and ISO 250 (bottom, focus-stacked image)
  • Aperture f/11 (top photo) and f/3.5 (bottom, focus-stacked image)
  • Shutter 1/640 sec. (top photo) and 1/400 sec. (bottom, focus-stacked image)
