Fun Friday: Kids Will Be Kids!

As this post gets published, I am nearly back home in Missouri, after a great weekend art show in Dallas and some wonderful photography along the way back home. It’s always great to get away for some photo opps, but it’s also great to get back home! Especially when I have a brood of barn owlets awaiting my arrival :o)

Today’s Fun Friday post comes from the Wichita Mountains in southwest Oklahoma. After my Dallas art show, I spent a couple of days with my aunt & uncle in Athens, Texas, then meandered to Lawton, Oklahoma to one of my favorite spots in the Great Plains area to photograph. I always enjoy the many photo opportunities the Wichita Mountains NWR affords me and this trip was no exception. Black-tailed Prairie Dogs are always fun to watch and photograph and this trip was no exception.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of new pups in the colony, especially their antics as they played! Here are a couple of images I shot of two siblings as they played:

It doesn’t matter what species, kids will always be kids!
