While hiking Waterton Canyon, I saw a lot of Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus), including this young buck, grazing not far off the trail:
The rut was also in progress with the Mule Deer, also known as Black-tailed Deer. In another post, I’ll share a pair of Mule Deer, a larger buck with a doe, that was grazing along the slope of the canyon.
