Small, White Beauty

Today’s post features another wildflower I found along the trails of Ha Ha Tonka State Park (Missouri). I’m pretty sure this little, white beauty is Rue Anemone, but welcome any correction I may have made to this ID.

While hiking the Natural Bridge Trail this spring, I found lots of different woodland wildflowers along the trail. This little one captured my attention for quite a while … here are a few of my favorite images:

Photographic Equipment Used:

  • Canon 5D Mark 3 body
  • Canon 180mm, f/3.5 macro lens
  • Induro Stealth Carbon Fiber tripod + 3 Pod, Model H3 ballhead (I’m evaluating this setup as a new, lightweight macro setup for hiking)
  • ISO 400
  • Aperture f/3.5 and f/8
  • Shutter 1/125 sec. thru 1/750 sec.
