A Nice Shade of Red

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of these beauties here in the Ozarks … the Red-headed Woodpecker (photos from the archives, captured while kayaking a Missouri creek):   Always a wonderful find when they profile against a blue sky (which we’ve not seen very often, lately).
