Fun Friday: Lost in the Fog

When the “F-bomb” (fog) came up during Wednesday night’s weather forecast, I decided to take Rubber Ducky out for a little kayak trip on Thursday morning. As far as wildlife, not a lot of action, but will share a few in a subsequent post. But the foggy landscape was quite surreal. As I headed out into the fog, there could have been some neat things there that I just didn’t see, hard to tell:

About a half hour later, I turned around to see that the early morning sunrise was beginning to work it’s way through the dense fog, giving a rather unusual hue to the scene:

  • Canon 100-400 mm, f/4.5-f/5.6 IS lens
  • Handheld from the kayak, with IS “On”
  • ISO 400 (top photo) and ISO 500 (bottom 2 photos)
  • Aperture f/5.6 (all photos)
  • Shutter 1/250 sec. (top photo), 1/15 sec. (middle photo), and 1/20 sec. (bottom photo)
