Today, a simple post with a single image … a beautiful Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) wildflower, blooming in one of my wildflower gardens:
The purple coneflower is one of my favorite wildflowers, so bold in it’s colors and a great attractor of pollinators. I plan on adding some purple coneflowers to my newest butterfly garden that I am building.

- Canon EF 500mm, f/4 telephoto lens + Canon 1.4X TC, totaling 700 mm used (was using this rig for capturing wary dragonflies)
- Bogen 3221 tripod + Wimberley gimbal head (Series 1)
