Eastern Pondhawk Dragonfly Males

While photographing the Halloween Penant dragonflies, I also came upon some male Eastern Pondhawk dragonflies. Interestingly, the Eastern Pondhawks are all green with black markings in the immature stage. As they mature, the males begin turning blue, from the rear to the front, until they are all blue. The females, however, remain green. Here are a few images of the males that I captured during my morning hike:
