When a Brown Bear sow has a couple of young cubs, they are all very busy, foraging for food and just surviving the everyday challenges. As such, they often can be captured as they take brief naps to “recharge”. During one trip to Hallo Bay, Alaska, I captured several shots of a sow with her 2 young cubs. In this first image, the little ones are both captured in mid-yawn:
Moments later, they seem to be in a deep, restful state:
Just a short while earlier, this family was captured in the sedge meadow:
With young cubs, the behaviors can be wonderful!
