Another last day morning at Carlos Avery bird was the Trumpeter Swan. As I was driving the myriad of dirt roads (and getting lost!), I looked to my side to see a couple of these beauties, flying against the direction I was driving. I quickly stopped the car, rolled down the window and was able to get 6 shots off before they passed me and began flying out of sight.

I love watching the swans … so beautiful and graceful. And yet it is rare to see them back home, so I always love traveling where Trumpeter Swans reside!
