A Steller Monday

As we started Day 4 of our Photo Workshop, we were all happy to see the light of morning. Last night, we moved into the shelter of Brothers Islands to escape an incoming storm. After breakfast, we cruised around Brothers Islands to a Steller Sea Lion (Eumetopias jubatus) haulout. As we approached, we were greeted with the trademarked growling of the Stellers. Here are a few images of the Steller colony at it’s haulout beach:

We spent about a half hour in the area with these guys, but we would see more of them along our journey. We then began heading toward Kake, a small village along the Inside Passage. My next post will include some images taken from Kake.
